The Start
Fixin' Vixens was founded in Vancouver, B.C. in February of 2006 by Yolanda, a single, self employed, female who purchased her first home, a 1970's condo, in June of 2003. Although a pretty handy GAL herself she had no desire to do many of the tasks required to update her new suite. She was unable to find qualified trades people whom she could trust to enter her home to perform the tasks. There were also many horror stories circulating about less than positive experiences with some handymen/contractors in the city. After years of frustration and not much getting done in the flat Yolanda realized she was NOT alone and in a multi billion dollar home maintenance and repair service industry there was a huge gap in the market for quality small, odd job completion.
The Company
From this experience an idea was conceived. After doing some research and a few impromptu polls. Fixin' Vixens: HandyGAL Services Inc. was born. The doors were opened with Yolanda at the helm and one amazing handyGAL on staff.Our Mission and Philosophy
